About Preiss Family of New York
I have been putting together the information for this family tree for
over twenty years now. It is not complete. Everytime that I believe that there
are no other records left to find, I find one more.
My roots are German, Irish and Italian. My wife's family is Cuban.
Although many parts of the family have moved away, my ancestors pretty much
remained in the New York City area since the late 1840's.
For privacy reasons, only information about the dead can be viewed by the
general public. To view information about the living, a guest password is
required. (Password is entered at the top right side of this page in the Security
box).
This page really serves two purposes. The first is for other genealogists
possibly researching the same people that I am, to get in touch with me. The
second is for my living relatives. This is the easiest way to share
information with them.
If any family members have photographs that they would like to share, I
would be happy to put them on this page. Just E-mail them to me. If you'd
like, you can even send me your favorite photo of yourself. I want to make
sure I get your "good" side. I also want to know about any incorrect or
missing information. Please let me know.
I would also like to give credit to the other genealogists in the family
who have contributed much to this project, particularly Edward Lawlor, Sam
Izzarelli, Edward Morrissey, Loretta Lopez, Don Goerg and the late William E. Goerg.
I update this page often, so please check back now and then. This is a
work in progress.
